Tired of breaking expensive recovery straps in dynamic recoveries?

The MAXTRAX FUSE Shackle is designed to be the the sacrificial weakest link in the comprehensive MAXTRAX Recovery System, and should exclusively be used with this system. Whereas the MAXTRAX Core Shackle is designed for general use, the FUSE Shackle features a lower and highly precise Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) of 15,432 lbs (7000 kg) as to prevent damage to recovery points and recovery straps which may bear a lower MBS than a traditional soft shackle.

I picked up the MAXTRAX Fuse Shackle after reading that it should only be used within the MAXTRAX Recovery System, and that's exactly how I run it. The 15,432 lbs (7000 kg) minimum breaking strength gives me a clear, precise weak point so I'm not risking my recovery points or straps. It's not a general-purpose shackle like the MAXTRAX Core Shackle, so keep that in mind before buying. Build quality feels solid and it packs easily with the rest of my gear. Four stars only because it's a specialized piece, not an all-rounder.
