I picked up the MAXTRAX XTREME Desert Tan pair for desert trips and they have not disappointed. The 88 replaceable anodized alloy teeth bite into loose sand and the reinforced Nylon body feels genuinely heavy-duty. They are sold in a pair, which is what you want for real recoveries. The Desert Tan color blends in with the terrain and cleans up easily after use. I have only used them a few times, so long-term wear on the teeth is still unknown, but so far they perform exactly as described. Solid choice if you drive in sandy conditions.
