I picked up the WB Crank Radio for my emergency kit and it covers the basics well. It's a charger, flashlight and tri-band radio in one, and I like that I can top it up three ways: USB, solar, or the hand crank when there's no power at all. It also charges my phone through a USB cable once it's got juice, which is the main reason I bought it. The crank takes some effort, so it's more of a backup than a daily charger, but for a blackout or camping trip it does the job without fuss.
